Panel Group Nodes + Sub Panels

Currently when you define a group in a front panel editor this group is only useful in the editor itself. But I think it would be awesome to be able to control this group from within the graph for which the front panel is for.

Panel Group Node
A Panel Group Node is associated to a specific Panel Group. It can modify its visual and interactive properties, e.g. make the group visible or invisible. Maybe alter the transparency or define a group scale factor to make the group larger or smaller. It could also enable and disable the group for user interaction when the panel is displayed. All these settings could be altered from within the graph with this node.
Panel Group Node could be deleted. When it is, the existing panel group has no more “controller” node in the graph. You should be able to re-create it by right-clicking the panel group in the panel editor and there select “Create Panel Group Node”. From a Panel Group Node you should be able to directly jump to the group which it controls and vice versa. This way you never loose control.

Sub Panels
Currently there are no “Sub Panels” for a front panel. A Sub Panel is another panel inside the front panel definition with its own size and elements. Such a sub panel would ease the problem of stacking elements in the same place as you would have a place to define these inside their own space. A Sub Panel is a panel itself - the difference to the front panel is: it is not visible by itself and must be added to the front panel manually. Sub Panels are re-usable elements that can be placed elsewhere in the design of your front panel. They reference the design within them. You could also allow nesting - a Sub Panel inside of another Sub Panel. This would enhance the usefulness of re-usage and allow variants of panels with the same elements on them controlling the same graph nodes.
Sub Panels would allow better organization within front panels and allow mutations of panel layouts that could be switched with ease.

If wanted Sub Panels could also allow dedicated windows or hovering / tooltip-like windows that appear when you hover over something - all with their dedicated content. Currently also not possible.

Sub Panel Node
As Sub Panels are a nice thing they should also be controllable from withing the node graph itself for which they were defined. Same as with panel groups a “controller” shall be created for each Sub Panel called Sub Panel Node.
A Sub Panel Node is always associated to a specific Sub Panel. It can control its visual and interactive properties. Same things could be changed from within the graph as this is true for the Panel Group Node. Maybe a Panel Group Node could even be the only thing we need to control Panel Groups AND Sub Panels because they are really very similar.

Think this would allow easier creation and control over complex and variable front panels

Yes this idea seems similar to DAWSounds Popout Menues that allowed for Controlers to be loaded into them Then it could be Collapsed and reopened with its assign Button , one resized using a selectable number for the X and Y parts,… they could be saved as there own sub layout and could be loaded into other layouts ,…they had the basic Border thickness and Colour and Image and Colour Settings they were very useful for loading Different kinds of Mixing and Contoler Sub Layouts ,there Potential for Console building is enormous and Space Saving in your layout.:slightly_smiling_face:
